Mr. Michael Zhang is the Chief Representative of DSD & Herfo Shanghai Office, a position he has held since 2019. Michael has a strong background in corporate management, cross border cooperation and investment in primary market. Before joining DSD & Herfo, he served eight years in AVIC Group with different roles, including more than four years in Norway, where he deepened his expertise in cross-cultural business and maritime technology cooperation. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Design Engineer at TTS China. Michael holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Harbin Engineering University, respectively. He has also pursued continuous executive education in areas such as sustainable investing (Harvard Business School), cross-border management (University of Gothenburg), and shipping finance (Copenhagen Business School), reflecting his commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
